Pastry Cook – Boucherie Upper West Side

About Us
Boucherie, the French bistro and steakhouse from The Group Hospitality, is opening on the Upper West Side. We're building our opening culinary team and looking for a Pastry Cook who loves classic technique and precise execution.

The Role
The Pastry Cook prepares quality pastry items, including desserts and breads, and supports the kitchen team in preparing and presenting every dish. 

What You'll Do
- Set up your station with the right tools, equipment, and supplies
- Review production schedules and pars, and set priorities for the day
- Prepare all menu items to recipes and yield guides, efficiently and to standard
- Complete your prep list and other food prep as directed by the Chef on Duty
- Manage food and work orders, and restock items depleted during the shift
- Flag any sub-par product to the Chef on Duty before service
- Store product at proper temperatures and follow rotation procedures per DOH regulations
- Complete opening and closing checklists thoroughly
- Maintain Department of Health sanitation standards and report any safety concerns to the Chef on Duty right away
- Support your teammates wherever needed

What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of experience as a Pastry Cook or Baker in a similar-caliber restaurant
- NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to lift 30+ lbs and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear communication in English and basic math skills
- Positive attitude and professionalism under pressure
