Position Overview

Fuze House is looking for a hands-on Café Manager / Barista to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Chelsea café. This person will work regularly behind the bar while also managing the café team, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and overall operations. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, hospitality-driven, and excited to help create an elevated Fuze House experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work regularly scheduled barista shifts, preparing drinks and providing exceptional client service
• Oversee daily café operations and maintain Fuze House standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation
• Create and manage weekly barista schedules
• Train, support, and manage café team members
• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor communication
• Maintain consistency across drink recipes, preparation, and presentation
• Monitor product usage and waste and help identify opportunities to improve café operations
• Ensure compliance with NYC food safety and Department of Health requirements
• Maintain required food safety procedures and documentation
• Support specialty drinks, events, and Fuze House brand partnerships
• Step in to cover shifts and support the team as needed

Qualifications

• Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality experience
• Barista experience required
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred
• Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills
• Comfortable managing schedules, inventory, and a small team
• Flexible availability, including early mornings and weekends
• NYC Food Protection Certificate required or willingness to obtain
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
